Meet the Makers
A. Jones
My interest in the world of art started pretty young, mainly through drawing little faces on my classwork and experimenting with whatever I could get my hands on. Over time, that grew into photography, graphic design, crafts, and digital work.
I’ve taken pretty much every chance to learn something about art. That meant taking my sketching class assignment and working on that in every single other class and continuing when I got back home.
I’ve always liked being able to take an idea and figure out how to turn it into something visual. A lot of my work comes from experimenting, learning as I go, and combining different styles and mediums.
Collectively I have some experience in several forms of media including but not limited to:
- Drawings
- Ceramics/clay work
- Graphic design/Digital Media
- Photography
- Painting
- (Web Designer's edit: he's being humble- this list is so much longer)
That being said I do intend to learn even more ways of creating art like being adapt at giving tattoos and creating home goods like carpets and candles by hand.
Today, I’m still exploring where that can take me. Man Made provides me the place to bring those different sides of my creativity together.

I’ve always been curious about people.
Where they come from. What shaped them. The things they carry that you can’t see just by looking at them. The little pieces of someone that make them who they are.
Maybe that’s why I’ve never been very good at seeing people—or life—as simple.
There’s usually more underneath.
I’ve spent a lot of my life learning, questioning, trying things, changing my mind, and figuring things out as I go. I’m still doing that. I probably always will be.
Man Made grew out of that same way of seeing things. Not having everything figured out, but being willing to look closer. To make room for different stories, different perspectives, and all the strange, beautiful, difficult things that make us human.
We're all still becoming.
And I think there’s something good about that.
